The Middle East is an area where vehicle is king and fuel is cheap, little reward to find more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.
But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have actually risen the cost of oil, the issue of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.
In an area that has one of the greatest carbon footprints on the planet, one company is benefiting from the growing pressure to discover options to oil. It's established the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving lucrative too, already their client-list includes McDonald's.
