MP backs biodiesel tax break campaign

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a campaign to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel presently gain from a 20p differential but that is due to end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a number of little services in Cornwall currently make money from utilized cooking oil".
He added: "In order to be able to get this type of industry going it does need simply a bit of lift which is available in the type of tax inevitable."
Biodiesel is a blend of diesel, rapeseed and vegetable oils.
